Pet Adoption Process

Abu Dhabi Animal Shelter have large kennels and catteries to accommodate dogs and cats. There are a number of dogs and cats waiting for a loving home. They are all neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and treated against fleas and worms. Please give a loving home to our wonderful pets.

The adoption process goes as follows:

1. You can choose a pet on our website and arrange for an appointment to see them here in our shelter. (Book An Appointment) You may also visit the Abu Dhabi Animal Shelter during our opening hours.

2. Once you are sure that this is the cat or dog you would like to adopt, you then have to fill an adoption form and complete certain formalities.

3. Thereafter you can take the pet, the new family member to your home.

Note: Please make sure that your home is ready for the pet.

We also have pet food, toys, leashes, collars and other accessories in our ADFH Pet Care Center available if you have not purchased those items yet.
If you wish to get a special cat or dog breed, you can register with us in “Wish A Pet” section.

In case we receive the desired cat or dog in the Abu Dhabi Animal Shelter, you will get a notification and then you can schedule an appointment for adoption (subject to availability).
